The Defense Minister visited Tavush region from June 7-8. Seyran Ohanyan was in the military unit located on Armenian-Azerbaijani borderline, got acknowledged with operative situation, the readiness of soldiers realizing military duty and the mental-psychological conditions, checked the conditions of defensive and engineering structures. The Defense Minister held a working conference with the commanders of army troop and military units, had meetings with the population of surrounding villages. During the visit to Tavush region Seyran Ohanyan took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the memory of freedom fighters in the yard of the secondary school in borderline Voskevan village, during which a groups of freedom fighters of Voskevan were awarded with jubilee medals of “Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia: 20 years”. RA Defense Minister visited the soldiers injured in the results of diversion actions of Azerbaijan in the hospital as well. Expressing gratefulness for conscientious service, demonstrated vigilance and courage, for dignity in realizing the duty in front of the Homeland: Seyran Ohanyan wished them quick healing.
